According to a legend, Lord Vishnu mediated here in the harsh weather for thousands of years and his consort Goddess Lakshmi assumed the form of a Badri Tree and shielded him which is why he is known as Lord Badrinarayan as well. Day 01:- New Delhi -Haridwar
The most sacred Badrinath Dham Yatra begins with arrival at New Delhi. Here Indian Horizons representative will receive you and help you plan the further journey towards Haridwar. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. Later on, proceed towards Har Ki Pauri which is one of the most famous ghats of Haridwar to take a holy dip in sacred Ganga and then attend the spectacular Ganga Aarti which is truly magical and among the major attractions of Haridwar. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02:-Haridwar- Rudraprayag
Next morning after early breakfast drive towards Rudraprayag 164 Km from Haridwar. Upon arrival check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. Later set out on a walk to the confluence of Rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Take a dip here as it is considered as auspicious . If time permits then visit various temples and shrines in and around the Rudraprayag such as Koteshwar Mahadev and Dhari Devi Temples etc. Explore the town and sample local cuisines. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03:- Rudraprayag- Badrinath
Next day after breakfast drive towards Badrinath. It is 157 Km from Rudraprayag and is the most important of the four sites in India’s Char Dham pilgrimage. It is situated at an elevation of 3,100 meters above sea level on the banks of the river Alaknanda between the mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan with towering Neelkanth peak at its backdrop. Take a dip in the hot springs located near the temple named as Tapt Kund, Suraj Kund and Narad Kund. Visit the temple and perform darshan and pooja. Also, visit the Ganesh Gufa and Vyas Gufa where Ved Vyas wrote the famous epic of Mahabharata. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the pre-booked hotel of Badrinath.
Day 04:- Badrinath- Srinagar
After early morning breakfast proceed towards Srinagar which is 185 km from Badrinath. En-route enjoy the breathtaking visuals, mountain roads and passes. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05:- Srinagar- New Delhi
On the last day of Badrinath Yatra Tour Package, pack your bags for return journey towards New Delhi.
