Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga’s of Lord Shiva lying against the backdrop of the magnificent Kedarnath range. It is situated at an elevation of 3,580 meters above the sea level and is one of the important Dhams of Chardham Yatra. The cascading Mandakini River and the snow-draped Himalayas make is one of the most beautiful places to visit.
Day 01:- New Delhi –Haridwar
Kedarnath Dham Yatra Tour begins with arrival at New Delhi. Here Indian Horizons representative will receive you and help you plan the further journey towards Haridwar. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. After some refreshment proceed towards Har Ki Pauri which is one of the most famous ghats of Haridwar to take a holy dip in sacred Ganga and to enjoy the spectacular Ganga Aarti. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02:- Haridwar- Guptkashi
After morning breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed for Guptkashi. It is 206 Km from Haridwar and is situated at an elevation of 1,319 meters above the sea level in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel for rest. If time and energy permits then do visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva which is similar to one in Varanasi. After darshan return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03:- Guptkashi - Sonprayag - Kedarnath
Early in the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed towards Sonprayag which is 30 Km drive from Guptkashi. From here start your 20 Km long trek to Kedarnath. You can even hire a doli or a horse for your trek. Located on the way to Kedarnath Temple is Gauri Kund which is a religious place and has an ancient shrine devoted to Goddess Parvati. Upon arrival at Kedarnath Temple enjoy pooja and darshan. It is one of the most sacred temples in Hindu religion. Also, visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi at the back of the temple. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the pre-booked hotel.
Day 04:- Kedarnath- Guptkashi
Early morning get up before the dawn and after taking bath visit the Kedarnath Temple again for the Abhishek to Lord Shiva. After darshan and Pooja return back to the hotel for breakfast and then start the return trek of 20 Km from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. From Sonprayag drive towards Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05:- Guptkashi- Rishikesh
Next morning after breakfast proceed towards Rishikesh which is 184 Km from Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. After some refreshment enjoy a visit to major attractions of Rishikesh which include Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Kunjapuri Temple, Bharat Mandir etc. After enjoying these popular attractions return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06:- Rishikesh- Haridwar- New Delhi
Next day after breakfast proceed towards Haridwar which is 23 Km from Rishikesh. It is considered as one of the holiest places in India thronged by millions of visitors from all corners of the world. After some refreshment proceed towards Har Ki Pauri which is one of the most famous ghats of Haridwar to take a holy dip in sacred Ganga. After lunch proceed for the return journey towards New Delhi.
