Destination Covered : Haridwar-rishikesh
Panch Kedar consists of five most sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva namely Kedarnath, Rudranath, Madhmaheswar, Kalpeshwar and Tungnath. All these sacred places have a special importance and are related to Pandavas of Mahabharata who built them to get rid of their sins of killing their brothers.
Day 01:- New Delhi -Haridwar
The most sacred Panch Kedar Yatra Tour begins with arrival at New Delhi. Here Indian Horizons representative will receive you and help you plan further journey towards Haridwar. It is considered as one of the holiest places thronged by millions of visitors from all corners of the world. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and refresh yourself. Later on, proceed towards Har Ki Pauri which is one of the most famous ghats of Haridwar to take a holy dip in sacred Ganga. Also visit the Mansa Devi Temple and in the evening attend the spectacular Ganga Aarti with floating diyas in the holy river Ganga. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02:- Haridwar- Rudraprayag
After breakfast proceed towards Rudraprayag 165 km from Haridwar. Stop at Devprayag where the sacred river Alaknanda confluences with Bhagirathi to make the starting point of Ganga. Upon arrival at Rudraprayag check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. In the evening visit the Koteshwar Mahadev Temple. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03:- Rudraprayag- Kedarnath
After morning breakfast proceed towards Gaurikund 72 Km from Rudraprayag. Upon arrival at Gaurikund take a bath in hot water pond and start your further journey on the tough trek. Upon arrival, at the most sacred Kedarnath Temple perform pooja and darshan which is one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva situated against the backdrop of majestic Kedarnath range. Also visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi at the back of the temple. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the pre-booked hotel.
Day 04:- Kedarnath- Guptkashi
Early morning visit the Kedarnath Temple and then trek down to Gaurikund and proceed towards Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05:- Guptkashi- Gaundhar
After morning breakfast leave the hotel and proceed towards Gaundhar 17 Km long trek.It takes approximately 8 hours to reach it. Upon arrival, check into the camps for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06:- Gauyndhar- Madhmaheshwar
After morning breakfast start your trek towards Madhmaheshwar which is again a 17 Km long trek located at a height of 3,490 meters above sea level. Visit the Madmaheshwar Temple and after darshan and performing pooja, return back to Gauyndhar camps for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07:- Gaundhar- Ukhimath
Next morning after breakfast, start a trek of 12 Km to reach Jagasu and then drive 16 Km to reach Ukhimath Temple. It is situated at an elevation of 1,317 meters above sea level in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It is also known as Okhimath and it is believed to be a home of Lord Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar during winters. Worship is performed at this temple during winters when the temple of Kedarnath remains closed. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in camps at Ukhimath.
Day 08:- Ukhimath- Tungnath- Chopta
Next day after enjoying breakfast in beautiful surroundings drive towards Chopta, at a distance of 35 Km from Ukhimath and then start a trek from here towards Tungnath. Located on the Chadranath Parbat in Rudraprayag district, it is one of the sacred Panch Kedars. It is the highest temple of Lord Shiva perched at an astounding elevation of 3,680 meters above sea level. After darshan and performing pooja at the most revered temples return back to Chopta for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 09:-Chopta- Panargupha
After morning breakfast drive towards Sagar and after some rest start a trek towards Panargupha. It is a 30 Km drive and 10 Km trek. Upon arrival, check into the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10:-Panargupha- Rudranath
Post breakfast start your trek towards Rudranath which is 12 Km long trek. Rudranath the highly revered temple of Lord Shiva is peacefully adorned in the Garwhal Himalayas. It is toughest one to reach amongst all the temples of Panch Kedar. The Himalayan peaks adding to the glory of Rudranath are Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Ghunti.
Day 11:- Rudranath- Dumuk
After enjoying breakfast in the calm and serene surroundings start a trek towards Dumuk which is 18 Km long trek and takes approximately 8 hours to reach. Upon arrival, check into the camps for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12:-Dumuk – Kalpeshwar Mahadev
After morning breakfast proceed towards Urgam/ Kalpeshwar Mahadev Temple ,14 long trek. It is located at an elevation of 2,200 meters above the sea level in the picturesque Urgam Valley in the Garhwal region is the fifth temple of Panch Kedars. After darshan and performing puja, check into the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13:-Kalpeshwar Mahadev- Rudraprayag
Next morning after enjoying delicious breakfast drive towards Rudraprayag , 9 Km trek and 105 Km drive. Start trek to Helang and then drive to Rudraprayag. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13:-Rudraprayag- Rishikesh
After morning breakfast proceed towards Rishikesh which is about 141 Km from Rudraprayag. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. Later enjoy the sightseeing tour of Rishikesh which includes Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir etc. After visiting these beautiful places return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 14:- Rishikesh- New Delhi
On the last day of Panch Kedar Yatra Tour Package, proceed towards New Delhi for return journey.
With this, the Panch Kedar Tour comes to an end which refers to five Hindu Temples or holy places of Shaivite Sect dedicated to Lord Shiva.
